Zwingenberg Castle

The romantic castle of Zwingenberg lies above the river Neckar between Neckargerach and Eberbach. It's one of the most impressive fortresses on the Neckar.The castle is privatly owned by Ludwig Prince of Baden and his family. Guided tours are available. A cultural highlight is an open-air opera festiva, whichl takes place in the castle courtyard every year during the summer.

Hornberg Castle

Hornberg Castle is located above the village of Neckarzimmern at the Neckar valley. Götz von Berlichingen bought the castle in the year 1517 and lived here until 1562. Since 1612 the castle is owned by the Gemmingen-Hornberg family.

Guttenberg Castle

Guttenberg castle is one of the intact medieval castle complexes from the Stauffer period. The castle lies high above the romantic Neckar River close to the village Haßmersheim. The castle belongs to the the barons of Gemmimgen-Guttenberg since 1449. The castle can be easily reached by car. Guides tours are possible.

Horneck palace is surrounded by vineyards and dates back in the 13th century. The palace was built by the German Order of Knights. In the 15th century Horneck became the residence of the Grandmaster. The castle is located in the town of Gundelsheim overlooking the Neckar River.
Since 1960 the palace belongs to the Transylvanian Saxons Relief Organization. They erected a senior citizens´home in the castle, as well a museum with important Transylvanian collections.
